This is the "how's my driving?" meme.

So, I don't know anyone who doesn't feel like they aren't getting enough feedback. So... let's give some. What do you like about my pup? What do you think could be improved? What things about them do you not understand that you'd like elaborated on?

Pippa's the muse of yours I think I've least connected to. Not to say I don't like her, I certainly do, but I sometimes have a difficult time sensing who she is as a character in her own right, without the connection to Rory and the rest of the puca clan. Rory's Girlfriend Syndrome, hehh. Robin certainly thinks of her pretty much only in those terms, self-centered shmuck that he is; Zippy has a broader idea of her; and Paul, amusingly enough, barely associates her with Rory at all, in part because he obviously doesn't know Rory but also because he steered the conversation away from her boyfriend and they talk so well about music. :P

I'm interested to see how she develops in the aftermath of all this.

You just nailed my biggest issue with Pippa. She IS Ro's girlfriend and not much else. Part of this is simply what she was created for and then fleshed out as I've gone along. (Meaning: You are SO Right) And part of it is intentional on Pippa's part--if that makes any sense.

She is content (or was preIck) to blend in and not be noticed. She doesn't like to discuss her past which is how a lot of people tend to get to know each other (shared experiences and exchange of information and so on). Without going into tl;dr territory (because typing like this is a pain) this is where people like Paul come into play. He's safe. (funny that anyone sees Paul as the one they can turn to for warm fuzzies in a sense). He doesn't live near her or know the people she knows and therefore, she can open up and be honest with him in a way she isn't with everyone in NYC.

Oh, look...still wordy. Basically, yes...Pippa has issues. I am trying to find ways to correct them through character growth. Nice that I pick a serial killer to address this stuff, huh?

Would love to hear your thoughts on how that gets handled and if I miss the mark or over-correct.

Oooh, very interesting angle with Pippa's defense-mechanism stuff there. I volunteer Paul to talk with her whenever, in the interests of character growth. :P

Thing is, I'm not so sure what she is being defensive about. Is she hiding her past because of guilt/shame/fear or some combination of all that? I know she doesn't want the people she has in her life now to judge her for what she was then: a spoiled, rich, naive ball of sheltered privilege.

*laughs* Of course the ironic part there might be that of my three muses, Paul is probably the closest to knowing she was at least rich and probably sheltered. Silly perceptive muse. See, Pippa? Not that bad!

Oh, I doubt she'll ever be a Sue. I just wanna see more what makes her tick et cetera.

Will definitely get to see more of her ticking as I deal with more of her glass making and of course dealing with the mess I just inflicted on her.

Oh Paul...someone else that understands walking the harder path that most people wouldn't choose by default.

In some ways I see Pippa as your equivalent to my Anrai: the muse who plays her cards close to the vest, who would rather listen and/or talk about others than talk about herself. I too would love to see her open up more ... of course it would help if I'd tag back on that conversational prompt. ;)
