sandandwaterSo here is a question for everyone, do any of you ever actually read what I post here? Do I annoy you with my pictures and my quizzes? That would be two questions, I suppose. Still. I understand that I am half a world away from most of you these days but I suddenly feel as if I am talking into a void.
If no one is interested in my day to day existence in Venice, I'll stop with the posts. I'll keep the photographs to myself. Maybe I should forgo a blog altogether and resort to email like I used to. Maybe Alessandro has a point, he doesn't understand having an online journal. Thinks it is too cold and impersonal. He might be right.
Of course, he also makes derisive comments about my iPod and its contents so I don't know how valid his sometimes antiquated point of view might be.
1. If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
I would be devastated.I am.
2. What will you do if you do not share the same feelings as the person who likes you?
I like to think that I make it fairly clear that I am not interested in reciprocating any form of intimate relationship with anyone. I still love Rory, it doesn't matter that I'm not with him, I'm not ready to move on without him either.
3. Have you ever seen someone die?
I've seen a room full of dead bodies, I've had a human brain dropped in my lap, I don't need to have seen them die, I was told in detail how that happened. That is an entirely morbid question.
4. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
In some areas, I know exactly what lies ahead. In the places that it matters, do we ever? I wouldn't have guessed that I would be where I am currently. Never would have thought it possible.
5. What's your ideal lover like?
Kind, gentle, understanding, open-minded, honest, comfortable with themselves...six foot three, brown shaggy hair, dark brown eyes, warm and lilting voice, answers to the name Ro.
6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone else?
To be loved by the one you love.
7. If the person you like does not accept you, would you continue to wait for them to change their feelings?
Absolutely not.
8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
I'd want the best for them. Always.
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy recently?
There is.
10. What do you want most in life?
To be comfortable in my own skin.
11. Which of the 7 Deadly Sins do you think you relate to the most & why?
Lust. It may be very narrow and rigidly defined, but I don't deny that when I am with someone, I want them wholly and completely. It may sound like greed or gluttony but it's lust. The craving and the desire to be with them intimately.
12. If you find out that your best friend is going out with your boyfriend/girlfriend, how would you react?
I suppose I would be short one best friend as well as a boyfriend. I like to believe that I choose both friend and lover more carefully than that and no one in my life would do such a thing.
13. Who is currently the most important person to you?
The most? There are different people that are important for vastly different reasons. Alessandro for giving me hope and a safe harbor, Marcello for giving me distractions and Ro for understanding. Nil...for taking care of Mr. Beaker.
14. What kind of person do you think you are?
Not the model of a very good one.
15. Do you believe there is nothing higher than human kind?
I know that there is.I know quite a few of them and they all share the same last name
16. How well do you deal with death?
I was resigned to it, maybe even waiting for it. I know it would be easier than this. As well as most, I suppose.
17. Would you give your all in a relationship?
I do. I have. Sometimes even everything isn't enough.
18. Do you have a motto? If yes which one?
L'amore domina senza regole.
19. What type of friends do you like?
Trust-worthy. People that I have at least a point of interest in common with.
20. Do you have an all time favorite song?
It will always be Believer Girl penned by Rory Stone of Breaker Street. He wrote it for me, that alone makes it special and beyond comparison to any other.
