Because Pippa interacts with some different people than Abby:

James Potter--Much love for the mun, this mun loves the muse. This muse...has the misguided assumption that she can reform the muse, no matter how he torments her. Lulz, so many of them.

Aryn Wakefiled--They have a lot in common even if they won't discuss it. Aryn's fun in that she humors Pippa's proper ways (and her Ro obsession). Mun is fun to chat with OOC too.

Paul Smecker--One of the very few people Pippa ever lets see her truly snobbish side. He's educated, intelligent and while a bit coarse (hahaha understatement what?) Pippa holds him in high esteem.

Melinda Duvall--One of these days she'll let the writer into her inner sanctum. Mel's a fun one for Pippa to talk to about anything from floppy hats to making glass to some of her better kept secrets.

Rory Stone--How can we not mention the love of her life? Lord knows Pippa mentions him ALL the time. She is his and he is hers and woe for anyone who tries to get between them. Yay for a mun who puts up with my nuttery.

James sees the word "reform" and doesn't know whether to choke or laugh. He ends up making a weird gagging sound.

For all the crap that he gives her, James does like Pippa, and getting a rise out of her means that he gets more attention from another attractive redhead. He can't say no to that! The fact that she's usually shouting his name is an added bonus. ;)

They are a twisted little OTP of some sort. She'd be flabbergasted if she ever realized that James might enjoy tormenting her because she's a pretty red headed thing.

Get the boy some water, we can't have him coughing up a hairball or something.

It's that and her reactions. He's on a constant mission to see how flustered he can make her. I think he's keeping a tally of how many times she's said nothing but "James Potter!"

James says that's closer to Sirius' thing. Can deer get furballs?

Sadly for Pippa, James isn't the only one who enjoys getting her worked up for the entertainment value. I encourage this. Always.
