Some days really just need a rewind button. Can we restart Tuesday?

Started off when I Swedish Chef'd my kitchen.
Oh, those are the kind of days that make you want to crawl back into bed, hide under the covers and wait for the next one.
That was the good part of the day. I also burnt my thumb, broke a vase, got a flat tire, lost one of my favorite earrings...
When it rains it pours. You need a nice hot soak in a tub full of bubbles.
Which would be great if I had any bubble bath in the apartment.
Boy, it really isn't your day, is it?
Not really, but at least tomorrow is Wednesday and I love Wednesdays.
Wednesdays are good. Means the week's almost over.
Wednesday are great nights. Breaker Street plays at The 'Call and we always have a good crowd.
Good crowds are hard to find. We get okay crowds, but nothing to write home about. That's why I'm relocating. Not gonna get noticed here.
I'm sorry. We fill to capacity a lot of the time. But then, this is New York.
The scene in Chicago is pretty dry. It's disappointing.
I'm surprised, I would have thought there'd be a lot of musical interest in a city as large and diverse and Chicago. Or is it just that your sound isn't that hot there? What do you play?
Rock, mostly. And I don't know why, but we don't get much in the way of crowds on live music nights.
Maybe it's just the bar you work at?
Could be. Still, if I wanna get noticed (and I do), I'm gonna have to get out of Chicago. Think I have more of a chance out west, so that's where I'm planning to go.

I think it has a lot to do with being in the right place at the right time, really. Getting noticed by people with connections in the business. Being good enough that people talk about you so the connected seek you out.
Probably. Anything worth having is worth working hard for, so I'm gonna give it my best shot and hope it's good enough.
I know the bands we book work their butts off promoting themselves, rehearsing and getting gigs.
There are so many people looking for a break, that's what it takes to edge out the competition.
The part that makes me feel bad for them is even the really talented ones don't always get what they deserve. I think that's why I am always telling people how much Breaker Street delivers.
They deserve all the attention they can get.
